QMUL Student

Welcome back for a new academic year!

There have been some changes at QMUL over the summer, the biggest of which was the arrival of the new Principal Professor Colin Bailey who started in his post on Friday 1 September. Keep an eye out for his Principal's Update video coming next month!

IT Services has also been busy extending the Wi-Fi service to provide coverage to selected outdoor areas of the Mile End and Charterhouse Square campuses to improve the service available to you.

Mile End Library is now open 24 hours a day during term-time, to enable you to continue your studies whenever it suits you.

We hope that you have a great start to the year, and good luck with the new semester!

Change from Queen Mary Student Survey to UK Engagement Survey

You may remember that the Queen Mary Student Survey (QMSS) normally runs at this time of year, to gather feedback from returning undergraduate students on the previous year of study. Following a consultation over the summer, which included representatives from the Students’ Union, we have decided to adopt the UK Engagement Survey in place of QMSS and to run it at a different time of year. This means that all student surveys will now take place during a ‘survey season’ during the spring each year. Please contact tell-us@qmul.ac.uk if you have any comments or would like to find out more.
